22nd August, 2016 – One of the objectives of the SANePLAN project is to promote a technological, methodological and cultural change in the Public Administration in sanitation management. A new way of managing sanitation that is integrated with town planning and that takes into account present and future restrictions related to the environment and demography.

A process termed as “institutionalization”, which is already underway, involving making available to the various agents, technicians, scientists and the public in general, the series of tools developed in the framework of this project. Face-to-face meetings in Spain and Italy, and three strategic support documents that will make it possible to become acquainted with the process of implementing SANePLAN solutions.

Some of the agreements signed to date with this same purpose are with:

  • Institute of Territorial Studies, Regional Autonomous Government of Galicia
  • Soluciones Medioambientales y Aguas S.A.
  • Autoritá Idrica Toscana
  • Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, Università degli Studi di Firenze
