25th of June, 2015 – One of SANePLAN’s objectives is to contribute to changing Sanitation Management, aiming towards active implication of the largest possible number of actors related to Sanitation and Urban Planning management.

To accomplish this objective, SANePLAN is developing a series of tools designed so that key actors that intervene in sanitation management can more easily approach improvement processes directed towards the integration of sanitation needs with urban planning.

Furthermore, it makes it possible for all actors in this sector to show their commitment to the project’s focus; that is, to the understanding of sanitation and urban planning in which all the different agents that intervene in the process (public administration, businesses and citizens) are taken into account.

Since the signing of the commitment by the municipalities in which the Project will be implemented, Vilanova de Arousa, Ribadumia, Baiona and Cambados in Pontevedra, and Chiesina Uzzanese in Italy, three entities have shown their commitment to SANePLAN:

The “Collaborators” section on the project’s Webpage has been launched with 3 entities that have great influence in their sphere of action:

  • Instituto de Estudos do Territorio, public entity, under the autonomous community of Galicia, oriented towards the implementation of research, analysis, study and diffusion of work about urbanism and territorial planning.
  • Acque SpA, private business that manages water resources in a broad area of the Toscana region in Italy.
  • Soluciones Medioambientales y Aguas (Environmental and Water Solutions, SMA for its acronym in Spanish), a corporation specialized in sewage treatment and reuse, oriented towards small population centers and specific facilities such as housing developments, hotel complexes, sport complexes, etc.

The project wants to replicate this type of agreement with new entities; if interested in participating in the project in this way, do not hesitate to contact us through our e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
